Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) in India is a license-based training program conducted by DGCA or EASA-approved AME Colleges in India. The course is responsible for creating skilled and talented youngsters for maintaining, repairing, upgrading, and keeping a track record of maintenance and repairing works done so far for aircraft. The B1 category of Mechanical AME is classified in accordance with the same engine preference as A but the depth of maintenance and repair works that need to be done by a B1-certified engineer is high and their work scope also includes the upgrading of aircraft parts and scheduled troubleshooting of aircraft.  The B2 is the Electronics branch of AME and the best branch for the ones who wished to apply their electronics enthusiasm in the aviation industry. B2 AME is termed Avionics Engineering and only a few colleges are offering Avionics Engineering in India
